This campaign highlights the importance of neurological nurses and the critical shortfall in our healthcare system.

Ireland has in total 42 neurology nurses. We should have 142. 100 Short!

               Sligo has a shortfall of 4 neurology nurses.

More nurse specialists in neurology will ensure that people with all neurological conditions have improved access to healthcare support, a reduction in waiting time for appointments and direct support for people with neurological conditions.

The potential to improve condition management in progressive conditions like Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration cannot be understated.
