NAI Campaign – “We Need Our Heads Examined”

On Thursday 23rd June, the Neurological Alliance of Ireland, together with fifteen of its member organisations, will launch a new campaign “We Need Our Heads Examined” calling for investment in rehabilitation services.
There is a dire shortage of rehabilitation services in Ireland for the 25,000 people with neurological conditions each year who need them. Without rehabilitation, people suffer preventable disabilities, cannot return to work and young people are forced to live in nursing homes because there is nowhere else for them to go.
The campaign is calling for immediate action on rehabilitation services after a decade of broken promises which has seen no investment and no progress despite the publication of a National Neurorehabilitation Strategy in 2011.
Details of how you can support the campaign will be available on the NAI website from 23rd June
In the meantime, watch this video about Brian’s experience and learn more about why we need investment in rehabilitation services to “Put the Pieces Back Together” for people like Brian living with neurological conditions throughout Ireland.
