Climbing Ben Nevis for PSP

Congratulations to Matt Jupe and this great team: Nick Jupe, Patrick Murphy, Séan O’Brien and Stephen O’Brien on their successful climb up Ben Nevis.

Initially diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease then, re-diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) Matt Jupe set himself a challenge – to climb Ben Nevis. Matt said “This climb means so much more to me than just reaching the top”.

Why might you ask such a challenge ?

“It’s something very close to my heart, and I’m determined to do what I can to raise awareness and support for PSPA Ireland. On the 22nd of August, alongside some incredible friends and family, I’ll be climbing Ben Nevis to raise funds for PSP. This challenge is my way of turning something difficult into something positive and hopefully helping to make a difference.”

Well, Matt has certainly achieved his goal, reaching the top of Scotland’s highest mountain and the largest mountain in the British Isles.  For someone with the challenges of PSP that is no mean feat!  Well Done Matt ! To date Matt and his team have raised € 4044 to date.
