This is MedSafety week 7-13 November 2022

Eighty two countries are getting together to encourage reporting of suspected slide effects from medication. Get involved and help us to make medications safer

HPRA is the national regulator in Ireland for medicines, devices and other healthcare products. As part of our remit to monitor the safety of medicines, they evaluate reports of suspected side effects from medicines sent to them by patients, carers, healthcare professionals and members of the public.

All medicines may cause side effects, reporting them saves lives.

Anyone can report a side effect to us using our online reporting form.

Have you ever experienced a side effect from a medicine?  Has your medication made you feel sick, dizzy or feverish? If you get any of these side effects from medication, remember to report

When you report a suspected side effect from a medicine, we learn more about it. This helps medical professionals to choose appropriate treatment for each patient. Reporting helps raise awareness of treatment and helps keep everybody safe.
