PSPA Ireland are proud to support the Patients Deserve Better campaign.  Online launched at University Hospital Galway  on Tuesday 30th November 2021 at 12 pm by the Neurological Alliance of Ireland.

This campaign highlights the importance of neurological nurses and the critical shortfall in our healthcare system. 

Ireland has in total 42 neurology nurses. We should have 142.    100 short?!            

More nurse specialists in neurology will ensure that people with neurological conditions have improved access to healthcare support, a reduction in waiting time for appointments and direct support for people with neurological conditions. 

The potential to improve condition management in progressive conditions like Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration cannot be understated.
