Keep Hope Alive – Rev. Jesse Jackson

Rev. Jesse Jackson died peacefully at home on 17 February 2026 surrounded by his family. Our thoughts are with them in their grief. Rev.Jesse Jackson was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease, subsequently in April 2025 he was re-diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

As a strong civil rights activist  Rev. Jesse Jackson  worked alongside Rev. Dr.Martin Luther King in the campaign for justice and racial equality. He worked tirelessly to this end, leading the Rainbow PUSH Coalition advocating for racial equality, economic justice and voting rights. Twice he ran for democratic presidency and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2000. A great orator, his famous words Keep Hope Alive rings through today.
