PSPA Ireland welcomed the announcement in November 2024 by Minister Stephen Donnolly, TD of a new funding allocation for rare diseases bringing the total to 6.5 million in 2025 and rising to 8 million in 2026. The  funding will support the implementation of the soon to be published National Rare Disease Strategy for Ireland.
