137 km in 24 hours for PSPA Ireland-In Memory of Jim McDonald

Congratulations! What an amazing achievement we are so proud of you all.

Elaine, Paul, Eoin and Fiona took on an incredibly demanding walk, the Isle of Man Parish Walk in memory of their dad.

Jim, a lovely person and father, was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and fought this disease with great courage.

To date you have helped to raise €20,528 for PSPA Ireland, Thank you so much.

A word from the Team McDonald

We’re absolutely delighted to be updating you with how we got on. Between the 4 of us we walked just over 456 km. The walk was incredible – it was inspiring, bleak, fun, incredibly tough and so rewarding. We set out together and then each had to walk our own race pace wise. We had an amazing support team in Mary,Caitlin,Sarah and Suzie.

Elaine walked a whopper 73 km to Jurby church and had to withdraw as the cut off pace had caught up with her.

Fiona walked an incredible 109 km to Maughold church and like Elaine had to withdraw at that checkpoint as the clock had caught her.

Eoin & Paul joined forces after the first portion of the race and walked together getting to the finish line at 137 km in 23 hours and 25 mins. Absolutely phenomenal!!

Needless to say we’re all in recovery mode and just wanted to thank you all for supporting us and PSPA Ireland. It has been a fantastic experience for us all and we are so happy and grateful that PSPA Ireland will benefit from your generosity.

Many thanks,  Team Mc Donald
