Call for Study Participants

About

This is the first study of its kind in Ireland and a great opportunity to get  involved .  This important study sets out to gain a better understanding of the complex and progressive disorders; Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration/Syndrome.

Data is significantly lacking in Ireland so this is a major step forward for people with PSP and CBS.

This Irish study is confined to people with PSP and CBD living in Leinster (Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford Wicklow,)

but the potential benefits will impact on all people diagnosed with these diseases.

Thank you to those who have already taken part and have expressed satisfaction with their experience.

Why should I take part?  You can make a difference.

By taking part you are taking an active step in your health care and in helping others.

You are helping to advance knowledge in the area of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Corticobasal Degeneration in Ireland .

Your contribution may help to bring us closer to finding critical factors that influence the presentation, development and diagnosis of these diseases.

You are helping us to discover clues which may lead to better diagnostics.

You are contributing to the greater understanding of these rare diseases globally.

Dr. Shane Lyons will be happy to answer any of your questions .
