Everything was going well and Kim was on course – she was delighted. Suddenly while doing a 9k beach run she injured her ankle.
Hurting and frustrated this set her back. She wrote,
“Recovering from rolled ankle with only 6 weeks to the Dublin Marathon and staying positive is by far the most difficult part of this journey so far!
Now with less than 3 weeks to go. “The marathon seems like an impossibility, but giving up seems wasteful, worse ungrateful’
True to form, Kim’s strong and courageous spirit held out as she reflected,-
‘I can walk and I will finish the Dublin Marathon no matter how long it takes, because I have this great gift of mobility, because I made a promise to some very amazing people!’
With great determination and a strict rehabilitative training schedule Kim is now back on track and delighted!
“Thanks for the inspiration Peter and thanks for all the support my sponsors. This is for you “
